Every room has its own ensuite bathroom (Pepper's has a relaxing bathtub), air-conditioning, hot and cold water, fresh white linen and a writing desk. Ideal for couples, families or small groups.

Meals
Room only, with no restaurant on site. Order a day ahead for breakfast or home-cooked traditional Kerala snacks and meals, paid in advance; the menu is in your room. For restaurant food you can order directly, and we're happy to suggest places. Cafés are a short walk away. You are welcome to use the fridge and induction cooktop for tea, coffee or a quick snack.
Your space
Your private room and bathroom, plus shared use of the living room, game room and front garden. We are on hand for local tips, transport and help during your stay.
House rules
No smoking indoors and no alcohol on the premises.
ID
Photo ID for every guest. International guests: passport and visa, as required by law.
LOCATION

On the old spice route

Mattancherry has traded pepper, cardamom and ginger for centuries. Step out of the gate and most of historic Kochi is within walking distance.

  • Jew Town's narrow lanes of antique shops, spice stores and boutiques
  • The Paradesi Synagogue, one of the oldest active synagogues in the Commonwealth
  • Cosy cafés and art galleries all around
  • Fort Kochi beach and the Chinese fishing nets at sunset
  • Palace Road and tree-lined streets of colonial homes and street art

Auto-rickshaws and taxis are easy to find if you want to go further, and airport transfers can be arranged.

We can also arrange local tours of Kochi and trips further afield in Kerala with our travel partner, Cochin Travelers. Ask us when you book.
